He's so cute... Love to spend more time with him...

It's been a while since I have been in charge of my dear son nightly 4oz feed before he drift off to wonderland...

But sometimes, just sometimes, he will start swing his arms and burst out crying... as though he just had a nightmare...

And there are times, when he will smile in his sleep and coo-ing non-stop...

So do babies have dreams? Really amazes me...

Went to queue for the iPhone 3GS on Sat(11/7/09), reached the Comcentre at 9:50am

Unknowingly, I joined the "pre-order" line... and after a good 15 mins in the line...

One of the event security said " this is the pre-order line, make sure you have the pre order slip".

Pointing to another line, here is the walk-in line...

LL, since I'm trying my luck to walk-in and get the iPhone, I had to switch line...

in fact the walk-in Q is even shorter than the "pre-paid" Q. But...

the walk-in Q never even budge... WTF

Since I was there with baby Dwayne and Dearie Cynthia... and Cynthia went ahead in front of the Q to find out more.

I was alone in the Q carrying baby Dwayne in my arm, chatting with a fellow Q-er behind me.

Slowly, but surely... baby Dwayne start to rouse up and want his milk feed... and he start to cry...

No choice, Dearie Cynthia came back to find me and update me on how the situation in front is like...

We step out of the Q and prepared baby Dwayne's milk and started feeding him under the sun (with some shade)

Contemplating whether we should just give up Q-ing, an middle-aged gentleman wearing this polo (with apple and singtel logo embroidered) and white berm approached us. He looked at us and ask if we are here for the iPhone, I said, "Yes!" He said, we should be here with the baby and ask both of us to follow him.

He took us into one of the Comcentre building, let us through some of the security gantry, and led us up to one of the floor. And turns out, he took us to this floor where Singtel is serving some of their exclusive "corporate" customers. He told us to take a seat and feed Dwayne and we will be served at one of the table, once it's opened up. Both of us was like "Wah... Wow" We are so lucky....

And guess who that gentleman was? He is Singtel CEO, Mr Allen Lew.

And after an hour or so... we are done and happily left the Comcentre with my new iPhone3GS...

All thanks to my little boy...

I was following the local HWZ forum on the status of the member having to Q up to as long as 8-10 hours... I guess I was just lucky...

Dwayne was re-admitted to TMC for high jaundice level...

I Finally left Chrt... My first job after NS..

Why the title?? Well, that how i see my workplace is becoming...
Like the management said... In order to streamline the work load of everybody...
so they propose a time study programme to look at how to help everybody achieve a more balanced working lifestyle.

In order to do that, everybody will have to fill in a daily table-table, highlighting what they have done throughout the whole day.

How hard could that be right???

Well, it gets hard when people tried to spoil the market...
How so you ask?

Well, someone started handing in timesheets breaking down to every 15mins details...
WTF...
and this coming from a well-known slacker in the group...
Hahahaha...What a joke...
That person knows shit about what she's doing, and that coming out from her????
it only points to one thing lor...
Someone else is writing for her.....some big shot i guess.... or mountain?? LOL

Anyway... after getting my whole of last week's timesheets rejected...Thanks to the new benchmark.... set by some bitch...opps...

Yesterday, Dearie and I spent 4-5 hours looking after Dearie's nephew, Zayden...
It was a lazy afternoon... I didn't have any ball games that day, Dearie went to work for a while in the morning... and we were getting the window blinds setup...

Dearie's sister was doing up their new place, painting and cleaning etc...
Dearie felt that should let Zayden hang around all the paint too much, ain't so good for a little kid...
So we went over and took him out with us...
Brought him to Sun Plaza, as i needed to pick up some nut & bolts...
then, we headed back to Dearie's sister place to pick up Zayden's barang barang...
and came home...
Played with him with the Wii on... and Zayden was laughing and getting all excited..
Was the colourful graphic and music amusing him or was it the violence? Cos Dearie was playing the interactive boxing game...
Hmmm...
Time passes by and it was 7pm odd, time for dinner... We did up Zayden's milk and while Dearie fed him, i popped downstair and got dinner for us...
Played with him over dinner, fed him some of our food too...
Then!!! We smelt something foul....
The little kid POOPED!!!! Something we aren't expecting...
(must buy 4D liao)
What to do? Change him lor!!!!
Took out the babywipe and a new diaper..... wipe him clean and put the diaper on...
It aint that difficult!!!

Next we brought Zayden to my folk's place and he was so scared that he refused to enter the house (i was carrying him, he cried the moment i tried to step into the house)
Only after much persuasion(a cold bottle of Vitagen), was he willing to go into the house...
Even though he's inside, he refused to come down and walk...
So we only stayed a while and headed home...

Thinking of giving him a shower, but didn't know how too...so we rock him to sleep and waited till Dearie's sister and brother-in-law came to fetch him...

Baby-sitting Zayden was a really fun experience... Wondering it the same, taking care of my own kid...

Been a month since my last update...
It's had been a quick and tiring 3 weeks...
Just one week plus after my big day, i got to report for my reservist make-up training
Why make up training?? Mainly because i had been deferring my in-camp training call-up
But no choice mah! ICT clash with my exam period...Which is more important? Of Course, my exams lah!!! Studies is self-funded, if i fail...will the SAF be able to compensate me???

Even this time round, My boss wanted me to defer... Due to manpower shortage in my department...
Senior was on long leave... But this time round, SAF die die don't allow me to defer...so i got to serve my very very first ICT since i ORD in 2004...

So how was ICT???
It was FUN!!! Although i got to wake up at 5.30am very day.... and sometimes i only reach home as late as 1am in the morning...
But getting back into the cover-all outfit, getting back onto the crafts/boats...
All those nostalgic feeling of NS.... Hahahaha...
And the guys, Ben, Tony, James, Kelvin and other new people i meet...
Like what the coxswain said, "Reservist is equal to NETWORKING", whether you know how to make good use of this time is up to you!

Well, let hope the next ICT will be as fruitful as this make-up training...

Got Back from work early, down with a very pain aching back...
How did i got it? I have no idea...
Played mt regular basketball last night, didn't felt a knock or anything, and before i know it..
I almost can't climb out of bed...even sitting down on a chair hurt like hell...
Anyway, visited the in-company doctor, gave me some painkiller, muscle relaxant and some cream to applied, and of course a MC for the day...

Got my Breakfast on the way home, can't eat medicine on an empty stomach right?

Went out the guys last night...
We just decided to have a gathering... for no apparent reason...
just felt like it...
So the 6 of us had our late dinner at the 鎮發 buffet at Marina South...
We got to eat live prawns and crabs...and the usual pork, chicken stuff... things got a bit messy, but it was fun hanging out with the guys...

These days it's such a drag to wake up for work...
so sick of going for lessons especially after such a long long vacation...
Feel like changing to another job, yeah yeah...i know!! My current job is really stable, great...erm, good bosses, great colleagues...and allows me to go for my night-classes on time.
But it's only human to digress i think. Don't want to settle too deep into the comfort zone and get slacky.... Well, if only the companies i applied, replies....
Otherwise there's nothing much to ponder upon...

So busy with all sorts of stuffs, looking at sofas, bed frames, mattresses, lcd tv, audio systems, study tables, dining table, fridges, washing machine and shoe cabinets.
But the thing is we could only look and not buy, because we still don't know the measurement of the spaces in the new place, thus can only see and not make any decisions =(
Current owner is still waiting for the T.O.P of his condo...dunno how long it's gonna take.
but as he did brought it up before-hand, guess we just have to wait.

After 17 visits over several weekends and weekdays
We(Cynthia and me) have finally found a place of our own...
Everything is done up nicely by the current owner...
Everything from the deco and the layout was what we could wanted if we had a bare place to reno with.
And it's on the top floor... so machim like Pent-house...
The view is so shiok...
But all this doesn't come cheap, of course...
First time in my life i spent such a huge amount of money...
Money in term of ten thousands of dollars , and i didn't even bat a eyelid...
Haha...
Hopefully all the paperwork can be done up soon...
So now is time to look out for new furnitures... or anybody want to contribute???

Raoul shirts are the best, not only they looks good, the cutting is awesome too!!!
But they are more costly too...
but again...they are worth it!!! If only my job requires me to wear shirt everyday..
i will get a whole cupboard full of them.

Seen friends who got sucked into this turmoil, like a cancerous tumor, it just keep spreading. I can never fathom the morale of spending $10K on a photo shoot where the most glamorous moment is when your guest prior entry to the dinner table, stole a few glances and ending up underneath the pile of old magazines deep in the storeroom. The only superlative excuse I can gather is that this is a once in a lifetime matter. I was left laughing hysterically upon hearing this for I believe this is also a once in a lifetime most expensive photo shoot. Like the peace before the tsunami waves, first the water receded so fast way beyond you imagination, just like the cash in you bank. Next you went thru the banquet and flew off happily for honeymoon, to a place that sucks up your two months’ salary even before you set foot on that land. Like the fish left high and dry when the water receded, you gasp for breath when you see the price tag on the things there. Like the ignorant child seeing the marine life on the beach, fascinated by the view, she urges you to further on, again “Once in a lifetime” at helms again. Blinded by the love and not wanting to disappoint her, you say to yourself, no worries, I can manage the cash, I can still max out the cards. Hence the both of you went chasing the depleting water, it was fun, absolute beyond words can describe. Slowly you see the sea birds fly and the faraway white line of the waves, it get bigger and more, just like you bills laid before you. You flew back to your new home, sat down and start worrying about the white line you saw as it seems to get higher, when finally the bill came, for the banquet, for the honeymoon, for the expenditure. Like the ruthless waves, the figures sent you spinning, gasping for air, you heart pound like…. Well “Once in a lifetime” again.

So where is the ignorant child? She continues to act “ignorant”.

All this kinda make getting married scary doesn't it??
But i'm with the sweetest gal in the world...

Today is the last day of the Lunar New Year...
Had a last round of steamboat our neighbours, Mr and Mrs Han and Brandon.
Feeling kinda sick since Friday night... Think i'm coming down with a flu...
Thinking if i should go get a MC for tomorrow.

Attended Kent's house-warming over the weekend, another guy gotten married...
Lovely renovation he did with the house... and i think it's such a bargain, costing him at only 150k plus plus...
but it's a fourth storey apartment...and it's beside a school...

It's been so so so long since i last posted an entry...
Hmmm.... So what have happened so far???

Exams are a thing of the past... Well, what left now is the worrying thought of not passing them.
but I've given/tried my best shot at it. Can't do much about it anymore...

Valentine's Day also just flew by... So how did you celebrate your V'day? Roses? Romantic Dinner? Lovely gifts? A walk on the beach under the stars?
Hmmm... I only did the lovely gift part. No romantic dinner, dinner was at a nearby thai restaurant. Roses? Nope, didn't want to experience the same kind of stress i had last year...
Walk on the beach? Nope, instead walked all the way back home from the restaurant.
Kind funny right??? Or should you say, "Why is he so like that???" So cheapo one??

So what did i got as a V-day gift???

I hate feeder/trunk bus services... Well, not all of them...
just some of the services i had encountered recently...
Maybe it's just me...
Every time i try taking a feeder/trunk service... it takes donkey years to arrive..
Either that, or it's always fully packed!!! I mean if it's that fully packed, why can't the numb-skulls at the depot have the decency to increase the service frequencies??
Instead i have to wait at the bus-stop for like, 30 or even 45 mins... i could have taken my shower and started this blog entry ages ago....

But my life is gonna change... like it or not, i will have to accept those stupid feeder/trunk services into my daily routine...

Well, if you are choosing for the first option i hope you will be extra careful and vigilant.
Just last year, reports of foreign workers gathered in groups armed with cans of aerosol spray, sprayed the "snow" at their victims' faces and as the victim is blinded by the "snow". They will move in to groped and molest the victims.
Such incident caused a big Hooha during Christmas and New Year's Eve... But seems like everyone are so eager to basked in the joy of celebrating. Most probably even forgotten that such incidents even happened.
Well, I'm here to remind all the folks...
Be careful!!!!

As for option two, I had never been invited to a Christmas party before, so i don't know how it's like... Come to think of it, is my 人緣 not good enough??? Hahaha...

So it leaves me with my the third option... which is spending the eve with my beloved Cynthia on our own. Away from the stuffy and noisy crowd...At the comfort of her place :P

School sucks...after a horrid week

It has been a horrid week...
Why? You ask!
Well, for starter... i flunked all my 3 papers.
Imagine... 3 K.O. in a row...
I had never had such lousy results before...
So that means I will have to work doubly hard this exams...
just to make sure i can clear the modules.

It's so depressing to be getting such results...
and the prospect of not doing well in the semester exams,
might warrant a repeat of the modules all by yourself,
while the rest of the blokes moves on.
Arghhhhhhhhhh...
Thus, the impulse of wanting to quit the stupid class, so i don't have to face all this!!!
but like my classmate said: "You're already so near the finishing line, and now then you decide to quit?"
"Kinda stupid right?"
Can't disagree with what he said.

But still, school sucks...
So to all those teenagers out there, please study hard and complete all those whatever qualifications you wanna achieve, before you enter the working world.
Because to juggle both work and studies is really a PAIN IN THE ASS.
Just my two cents...

Was at Ken's (My Singapore Polytechnic Course-mate) wedding dinner on Saturday
The dinner was held at Chevron's Brilliant Garden Seafood Resturant.
Only Jason and Eric made it for the dinner, Michael had to accompany his wife back to Malaysia.
It was a pretty small affair, only 16 odd tables...

Was asking Ken if he had a tough morning?
Guess what was his reply??? He said, "No!" we just arrived here for the dinner...
Eric surprising asked, "Didn't you go gate-crashing this morning?"
Ken reply, "No need lah! Already staying at my place liao lor.

Life is more or less getting back on track after 3 weeks of lessons...

But yesterday the organiser of the event called and said that due to the unpredictable haze, the event will be switch to indoor instead...

Wah, so now sian liao lor...Wanted to go to Siloso Beach to check out all the babes and hunks...

Well, for me??
I did went to buy...spent about 50 bucks and the closest i got was 31, 35 and 43.
You do need to get AT least 4 numbers right before you can get any form of prize money.

Ever wondered how was it like to strike the lottery???

Was reading an article online the other day, about 70% of those who strike the lottery ended up bankrupt a year later.
Why??
How did that happened???
Well, the most common misconception/problem was the winner actually thought that they had became instant millionaire overnight and there wasn't a need to work or budget themselves anymore...And with the sudden extra lump sum of cash available on hand. They became very easy with money, very often spending without any second thoughts...
Kinda scary, ain't it...

People kept asking me "How is the trip?" "Fun?"
Hmmm...it's a 7days 6 nights trip...and all i can say is...
It's freaking "rushed"
Just imagine.... Morning call at 6am everyday...
and by 7.30am, ya done on the coach and onto your next destination...
It's worst then being back in Singapore (at least i could sleep till 7am)
But it's great making a full trip around Taiwan...

After the game, ahead down to Orchard, to get my iBook's battery replaced.
If you didn't know by now... Apple are recalling close to two million notebook batteries after finding out that they are prone to overheating, and could posing a fire hazard to consumers. In view of nine reports of batteries overheating, including two reports of minor burns from handling overheated computers and other reports of minor property damage. So far no serious injuries were reported. (Thanks Goodness!!) So i checked and realise that my battery is included in the list, print out the form. Got to the newly renamed Epicentre@orchard (used to be called Applecentre@orchard) took a number waited... after half an hour... it number didn't even move a twitch...WTF!!! and it seems like the count is under-serviced!!! Could take the wait, as there are still more then 16 folks ahead of me... i LEFT... Maybe i should come down on a weekday...
As i was walking back to Orchard MRT, Cynthia noticed something and adivert my attention to it too... Take a look

Sunday was spent at Funan IT Mall, didn't want to go squeeze with the crowds at Comex '06 and the fact that it's at the Expo...is a big turn-off...
Beside, i don't really have anything to get there...
While i was at the MRT on the way to City Hall, i saw Singapore's shortest air stewardess from SIA...

Cute right??? Who say you must be at least 1.58m tall???

After finishing with Funan, and parting goodbye with my brother as he heads for his life-saving lessons. Cynthia and i headed on down toward Bugis and as we passed by the National Library, it's like we haven't been in it before leh, so why not!!! So we jumped into the lift and head to the highest available floor (13th) and the view was spectacular.

can even see the fire-red bugis village leh!!!
Well, maybe i shouldn't use "spectacular" to describle it. But it's a great view!!!

The day ended, with dinner at the newly revamped Tiong Bahru food centre...
Sorry no pictures on that...was too hungry liao. Hahaha...

Okay, back to the planet... This piece of shocking news came out a few days ago... which i feel kinda rocked everything that we know about the stars and beyond... Just because Pluto is not "round" as compared to the other planets and it doesn't travel in it's own orbit or does it not clear it's own path in orbit... The gurus decided that after 70 years of believing that there are 9 planets in the Solar System, they are gonna just take 1 of them away...
Will this sort of decision cause any kind of catastrophic backlash?
I grew up as a kid who was very very interested in the stars... hearing all this... kinda make me realise that sentence is so so so true...
"The only thing that doesn't change is Change itself!"
So, will they in another 20 years decided that they made a mistake and "upgrade" Pluto back to "planet" status again??? I don't know...i hope i do live long enough to see if that ever happens...

Yes yes...i'm back for another blog post...
It's countdown time to a fabulous oversea trip again...
i'm happy yet unhappy at the same time...
Happy, because all my loved ones are on this oversea trip with me!!!
Unhappy, because of this trip, i gonna miss my first outing with all the brothers from my night class to Genting Highlands.
Well, in life, you win some, you lose some... Can't have everything the way you want it.
Hahahaha....

So what have i been doing???
Hmm... according to my calendar...
I have played 4 games this whole week... 3 for my Chong Ghee Sport Club in the Chong Pang Cup. 1 game for Chartered in the Inter-company Games...
(won all the games, of course)
And the weekend before, particpated in the New Balance Realrun at Sentosa.
A gruely 10km run across road, sand and trail...and my timing??? a lousy 1hr 25mins
I had never fared well in running... at least not in those long distance run, but like i always say, "It's the satisfaction you get from crossing the finishing line!"
To me, timing doesn't matter :P
And of course, all this in the company of my brother and my sweetest darling :)
Coming up this Saturday, i'm gonna give biathlon a try too... a 800 metre swim in open sea and 1.5 km run at East Coast!
Kinda worried, with all the recent news of people collapsing halfway through all this kind of events.
Imagine this, those who collapsed are people who had been consistantly training for this sort of events. And me, i just trying to push myself for it. Seriously
i hope nothing happen to me...
Hahahahaha... I'm sure i'm gonna be fine...
YEAH!!!!
And yes, the small matter of clearing my yearly IPPT this tuesday... I hope i pass...

what is it? Well, it's a market adjustment letter... Meaning?
my pay will be adjusted according to the market rate...
So am I satisfied with the adjustment?

Well... NO, I'm not... But people around me are telling me to be happy with what I have, after all that wasn't any news of it in the first place... So it supposed to be a kinda "surprise" thingy...
Am I surprised? Yeah, I sure am...

I shouldn't be talking about all this online should I? I think it's okay lah, since I never state out how much I'm drawing every month... Anyway, it's any insignificant amount...
So when can I join the credit cards club... Yah yah... It's not good to use credit cards..

So much for being in the "gang"
maybe i'm over sensitive... but i feel so bitter after being betrayed... by people whom i regards as good friends... or good colleagues...
who can you trust these days??
Why do i say so???

A certain PE in the so-called lunch kaki group was promoted to senior PE... honestly i'm really happy for him!! after seeing him work and work... finally all is justified. So he suggested a informal treat to all of the "lunch kakis"gang. Which naturally is good news!!! a free lunch...to celebrate! Yay...
But before i ask anything about...THOSE closer kakis (should i mention names??) has already ask and waited for him to give a promotion treat, just waiting for a suitable date.

So on tuesday (1 Aug 2006), a certain female senior started to help the new senior PE make plans...she decided that japanese food would be the best choice. So she happily asked me if i could help her find out whether any resturant does delivery... which beside Saskae Sushi, they rest doesn't. So while helping her to find more info, she was writing out who will be included for the treat. Well, i hope i wasn't sleeping, but i did saw her include my name in the list.
So after all the searching, the PE decided that it too troublsome to wait for the delivery, why don't we head on to the japanese resturant at Causeway Point? Save all the hassle...
That's would be a great idea, expect for the transport... Is there enough seats?? So who's gonna drive??? At that point, the topic kinda died down at tea-break...

The next day (2 Aug 2006) happily knowing that there will be a treat at lunch time... i saw the senior PE and ask him, "so what time are we heading out for makan??" He shook his head. My first thought was, "he's must be busy lah, beside he don't bother about all this transport stuff."
So i left him alone and went to look for the (so-called organizer) female senior, "So how are we heading out today?" Her reply, "I also don't know, tired of asking the them liao lah, you go ask them yourself." I was like.... Okay, cranky weather again... So i thought probably i should just wait till the usual 11.30 odd plus then i go look for them, or i'm just a phone call away if they wanted to find me...

11.30 odd, left the new cleanroom lab, went to the old lab to look for them, nobody was around...
the female senior wasn't around, the tall senior techinican wasn't around too... Sat at in the lab waiting, i was thinking maybe they would call me. 10mins later, the new senior PE came in, saw me and ask me about the both of them. i replied, "Haven't seen them since 11.30 liao." He nodded and left... After another good 10 mins, i wander to the cube area to look away. Just as expected, the other engineer in the senior PE's group is gone too...

I felt so let-down...by these so called friends/kakis...
i'm not sore about not having the treat...
But if they didn't wanna include me in the list, they could have told me..
make up an excuse or something... don't just disappear like this...
i can give up my seat to somebody else... NO PROBLEM

Really makes me wonder who and where are my real friends.

I skip school, cause i didn't feel like going...
I'm sure i pissed her off...
I'm currently having a terrible whirling feeling in my tummy...

Managed to just squeeze a paper for the MST...
initially i only gotten 49 marks....
but due to to a mistake in marking... i managed to get two extra marks and passed it...
Wahahahahaha....lucky??
I think so...i couldn't answer more than half of the paper...
I'm slacking too much... too much...

so the lecturer posted us a question, what keep us going in this course???
The kind of commitment you must have to stay in a 4 or 5 year course, religiously coming for lessons almost everyday after work...
Various comments kept flying out...ranging from, "doing this for the pay advancement ah"..."no choice lor, cos living in Singapore"..."In singapore everything also look at certificate"...blah blah...
One thing for sure, everyone in the class isn't there for the pure interest of the course....

Was out for lunch in the afternoon with MT,E*Y* and ZP....
So the four of us were talking about cars...
As ZP is from PRC and with the launch of the new China-made car, the Cherry QQ.... So MT was asking him if he would support his country exports by buy the QQ??
given that all the other choices of cars that he can purchase is similar in specification.

This gets me thinking....Will you support your own country products???
beside getting Singaporean girlfriend, of course.. Wahahaha...

So we had lunch...And we walked by this store selling Tupperware...
So E*Y* asked if given 2 pieces of tupperware, one made in Japan, the other in China..,
Which would you buy???
I pondered for a while... And replied! Of course the "japan" one lah...

So I was wondering...Sometimes it make people 'sian' to find that the stuffs that they purchased have the "Made in China" tab inside...
So I was suggesting, what if I sell a product that is made in China, but I print the "Made in China" wording in japanese...Will it work??? Will the consumer buy the product???
They would probably think it's made in Japan...Would they??? Hahahahaha

After a 30 day of World Cup mania…
A champion has finally emerged
Italy!!! Italia Italia Italia…
Fulfilling her destiny after 12 years…
If you do believe in Fate, Italy had won a World Cup every 12 years, the last being 1994.
And 12 year from then…..
Italy is the 2006 World Cup Champion!!!
Not that I’m a fan of the Arruzzi, but the goal-tight defence and the enterprising chances they create during the Finals against France was simply magnificent.
All the signs for a France failure was there…
The exit of Vieria due to a tight injury, the sub of Ribery, the amazing Let-me-head-butt-you Zidane being red-carded and the exit of Henry in the extra time, due to injury again… And Trgeuazt, the player who can’t score with his leg missed the penalty kick.
Plus,
Cool finishes by the Italians from the penalty spot…
All point toward an Italy victory….

Hahahaha…. think I’m starting to sound like a sport analyst…

These days life is pretty much came to a halt....
just passing each day as it comes by...
Rather aimlessly i would say...
Boring... Wonder what can i do to spice it up...
My PC is down again...it's so frustrating... you get it fixed, used it for a couple of weeks, and it breaks down AGAIN!
Arghhh...just feel like picking up the black mini tower and dump it down the rubbish chute... FOR GOOD...
But no money to get a new one :(

Caught last night "live" telecast Germany verus Costa Rica game with my brother and Cynthia on channel 5.
and reading something on the fourm about the malaysian channel, RTM have been showing distorted images, just 3 days before the World Cup begins.
One can help thinking whether is it the handy work of a local cable-providing company....
I guess it's not hard to know which one it is, cause there is only one...
Wahahahaha.... Monopoly!!!!!
Yeah...that's how Singapore is like...every single thing is monopolized.
Wondering whether i will get into trouble saying all this...

According to TNP, it's a request by the company providing the TV rights to the Malaysian channels to have the signal distorted...so that the signal can only be view by malaysian televisions

Wow....i never knew that tv sold in Malaysia, have something special in them, that can decode distorted signals...and i guess locally available tv is specially tied to local tv signal LOR....
What crap... can you imagine this sort of statement coming from a local paper???

With the World Cup 2006 Germany starting tomorrow, football-mania can be felt everywhere...
Everybody is waiting for the first game to start...i can't remember which two teams are gearing up for the opening...
Probably it's the host country team verus one of the team in it's group.

So where are you catching your football??
Have you subscribed to the sneaky and cut-throat Starhub cable vision yet???
Or are you heading to the nearby Kopi Tiam for a seat with the ah peks??
Or have you gotten a really long antenna, hoping to catch the free "live" telecasts on the free-to-air Malaysia channels??
Or, how about going to the nearby 24hr MacDonald's outlet to catch the matches???
Whichever your choice are...i hope you will enjoy the matches as much as i do (even though i have yet to decide how i'm gonna cure my fix for the matches)

No, no you didn't see it wrongly... we STAYED at Ritz Carlton...

See how spacious the room is??? At first we only booked a Deluxe room, but the nice folks at Ritz Carlton upgraded up to a Exective Deluxe for us...

This what we had for dinner the first night. Only took photo of the first two dishes, cause both of us are too hungry le...hahaha... The first pic is small abalone and second is "la la" (kind of shellfish) and the third is stingray... all of them are wrapping in aluminium foil and grilled to perfection!!! Highly Recommended by Moi....LOL

after the good food, we walked around Chinatown, through all the stalls where a lot of branded Replica are sold...no, i didn't get any...

The great thing about staying at RC is, it has a cozy lounge at the 19th floor which provide complimentary drink most of the time..

I had a glass of red wine, while Cynthia opt for a beer instead...

At around 7pm, the personal butler will come in and set the bed for us.
and he left a little something for us by the bed.

Today is Big Walk Day

Woke up bright(not exactly bright lah, 5am in the morning, where got sunlight to shine bright bright???) and early for the annual TNP Big Walk, didn't join last year due to some mixed up, but this year i'm back with my younger brother, Miss Cynthia and Moi....

We met up at Kallang MRT station to walk to the currently renovating National Stadium, decided against taking the free transport at Doby Ghuat and City Hall. Which Miss SinYan and Auntie Irene did...ended up arriving at 8 plus...So they just hang around the area, collected their goodie bag and left...

While the three of us were sloggin along Nicoll Highway...trying to make sense of why are we even torturing ourselves...by walking 10km...hahahaha

Nevertheless, it was fun.... which the big crowd...and hold the hand of my beloved while strolling along the highway...

The weekend have been fast and furious...

Went to Sentosa for the sunday to catch the Defend Your Turf Event.
No, no i didn't participate in it... i can't kick that stupid ball...
Just wanted to go there and check out the Brazillian footballers that were specially flew
for this event to play against the local winners of the event...

Turns out the U20 team actually won against the Boy from Brazil in the penalty shootout!!!
Imagine that!!! The malaysian team was actually thrashed 12-0...
Seems like there is a future for football in Singapore...
Hahahahahaha...congrats to the winning teams...

Well, beside that we (Cynthia, my brother, his friends and me) enjoy the Sun, the Sand and the Sea...
Luckily we didn't end up with sunburns.....
